I'm a HUGE Slash fan...so the only guitar i play really is my Les Paul, covering Guns N Roses songs etc. If however, i want to play some Chilli Peppers for example, i'd switch to my Tele or Strat for more of a Chilli's sound.

It's really YOUR choice. No-one can tell you what to play. You need to decide for yourself what sound you prefer. Try both guitars and then make an educated decision.
