General Information

Riffs Music Academy is an award winning purpose built 2000 sq ft music education centre specialising in electric, acoustic & bass guitar, drums, vocals & piano / keyboards.  We have been based at Chadkirk Business Park since 2000 and previously had a small shop in Hyde known as Riffs Guitar School.

Riffs Music Academy offers the best private one to one tuition in Greater Manchester [possibly the universe] and it's all under one roof, so come down and get playing at Manchesters loudest and proudest rock school.

Formal Graded Lessons At RMA

Riffs Music Academy offers qualifications/grades officially recognised and accredited by the QCA (Qualifications & Curriculum Authority) and DFES (Department for Education and Skills) both of which are official government bodies.

Riffs Music Academy is also an RGT/LCM public examination Centre.

Play for Leisure at RMA

Riffs Music Academy offers leisure play lessons as well as formal lessons, covering all styles of music without a grade or exam necessarily in mind.  Admittedly you may not sound exactly like Slash or Eric Clapton immediately without learning at least some of the 'nuts and bolts' of music, but you can choose to play entirely for leisure, fun or relaxation.

Whatever the reason is, you're lessons will be constructed around the music that you're interested in playing and not an official syllabus. The vast percentage of our students choose to combine both methods of education (formal & leisure).  This method allows you or your child to achieve officially recognized standards of ability whilst maintaining the hugely important factor of being able to play the music you or they want to play.

All Tutors are CRB checked.
